In our pursuit to improve the quality of life for the young people through our youths capacity development programs, The YPDP’s Online Fellowship expands diversity and creativity in six tracks of online training in (Technology & Cyber-security, Leadership, Communication skills, Volunteering and Entrepreneurship) through a competitive recruitment base selection.
The Young Professional Online Fellowship is an unleashing potential through career development training program aims at developing and mentoring a brighter young professional volunteers, entrepreneurs, innovators, civil society and private sector leaders, and sustainable development enthusiast from across Africa who are working for a common goal; to create a better Africa by solving challenges facing their respective communities.
The West African Youth Regional Conference is a regional CEOs, entrepreneurs, innovators, public sectors and civil society leaders event from the 16 countries in West Africa who are working together on creating a better Africa and solving humanity’s challenges. The conference seeks to provide opportunities for west African youths to get involved in community development activities. It will help reduce negative and unethical behavior in the youth and mentor them to productivities. It will also provides mentorship for youths with low self-esteem to develop their protential and become productive in their communities. The conference will also promote public awareness of youth engagement in community leadership.
The IWD Conference brings together young women’s and girls from academia, government, and industry to share knowledge, experience and networking. The event's goal is to provide a secure cyberspace awareness platform for the young women’ and girls against the various form of cyber-hacking and understand the potential use of social media for productivity, self-enhancement, and economic social benefit.
The project helps to build the entrepreneurship skills of 400 vulnerable young women and girls mostly from neglected communities, to restore and improve their livelihoods through life-skills enhancement entrepreneurship training in soap-making, tailoring, home care, computer digital literacy, marketing and sale as well as conduct coaching and psychological counselling. By learning these vocational skills couple with a developed entrepreneurship mind-set, the project beneficiaries will have reliable income generation and improved social values for self-reliance and become reintegrated into society.
Considering the challenges of innovation and concerte efforts to safeguard and sustain the earth for present and future generations, our Eco-recycling and E-waste Management Project is one of our hybrid community engagement projects implemented by the Young Professional Development Program aim at addressing e-waste management. The needs of vulnerable communities and encouraging cleaner and greener environment using smart technology and environmentally friend techniques to protect and sustain the environment. The Project mainly focuses on community advisory and action oriented engagement for re-cycling and properly disposing of e-waste with the goal of minimizing the adverse environmental impact of the unprecedented advancement of technology in the 21st century.
