APPLICATION FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN DAY CYBER-SECURITY CONFERENCE
The call for applications for the Young Women’s and girls’ cyber security awareness conference is now open. The young Professional Development Program with support from the United States Embassy in Monrovia will host a one day cyber-security awareness event in observance of the International Woman Day (IWD) on March 9, 2020.
The IWD Conference brings together young women’s and girls from academia, government, and industry to share knowledge, experience and networking. The event's goal is to provide a secure cyberspace awareness platform for the young women’ and girls against the various form of cyber-hacking and understand the potential use of social media for productivity, self-enhancement, and economic social benefit.
The growing impact of cyber-crime on humanity makes it appealing for everyone who uses the internet to be on the watch for hackers. And for that, people at all-time especially young peoples should have the opportunity be aware of the dangers associated with using the internet with the gross increase in cyber hacking.
