The YPDP is seeking application from qualified inspiring youth with dedicated skillful communications officer to join our team to provide his/her service for the promotion of African youth career development through ambassadorial services. He/she will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity material, respond to inquiries from the public and media, and coordinate promotional events.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the head of secretariat develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.
Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.
Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
Proficiency in design and publishing software.
Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management.
QUALIFICATION:
Undergraduate degree or it equevalent
A Liberian citizen living in Monrovia
Preferably a female candidate
Passionate about using his/her skills to make positive impact in his/her community.
Track record in youth advocacy related programs
Can demonstrate leadership and collaborative skills with people.
Can demonstrate creativity, innovation and self-direction.
Ability to travel to YPDP operational areas
Excellent english language writing and reading skills
Able to apply good judgment and act with high standards of ethics and integrity.
