The YPDP’s online mentorship is designed to focus on expanding diversity, creativity and innovation through professional Training, mentorship and community services in the four tracks of online coaching in (Technology, Leadership, Volunteering and Entrepreneurship). The mentorship tracks at the YPOF will be shown to be effective in supporting young professionals to meet their full potential and will encourage the development of professionalism among the youthful population of Africa. Additionally, the mentorship tracks will demonstrates numerous benefits to mentors in their own professions and personal lives.

The Young Professionals Development Program Mentors will be responsible for the professional coaching of fellows in both one to one webinar environment lectures. The fellowship mentors will act primarily as facilitators/coaches to aid YPDP training committee in the successful implementation of the mentorship training online, as well as direct the mentorship tracks through an online webinar lecture or presentation workshop setting. A mentor position will last for the duration of two cohorts’ fellowship period of one year pending extension. The mentors will be recruited on the basic of voluntary service agreement to help contribute to the transformational development of the youthful population of Africa.

Mentors are carefully assessed and chosen to provide positive role modeling while assisting the young professional fellows to develop new skills and enhance existing skills in the following, and other, areas:
